We strive to deliver a cost-effective, convenient and comprehensive educational path to achieve our vision, and yours of obtaining surgical assistant certification. The most common degree for surgical assistants is bachelors degree with 30 graduates, with only 27 surgical assistant graduates earning associate degree. The RASA team takes the educational component seriously. We view ourselves as an extended part of the OR team. Students’ knowledge and ethical principles to meet the standards of the demanding role of a surgical assistant, as defined by the American College of Surgeons. Option 1: Candidate must be current or previous Certified Surgical First Assistants (CSFA). Experience: Required: Two (2) years OR experience as Surgical. With our current and innovative teaching methods, our students develop the necessary skills through surgical assistant training. Successful completion of Accredited Surgical First Assistant (RNFA, CFA, or CSA) program required. Admissions Eligibility Requirements Must be Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA), Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), or must be able to demonstrate the entry level skills possessed by someone who has completed an entry level surgical technology program.
